Student Union Building, Bournemouth University

Working with Willmott Dixon, JJ Interiors manufactured and installed 37 column encasements for Bournemouth University’s new Student Centre.

Each floor was to have a identification column which highlighted the floor number to then be CNC cut though the laminated panels and have opal acrylic illuminated push through lettering mounted from the rear.

With only a 6 week programme to work within from initial approach to completion, the only way to achieve this deadline was to preconstruct all the timber frames and panels off site at in our workshop and assemble on site.

We successfully completed the project within the timescale permitted in the winter of 2014.
